The parameters 'source' and 'target' are configured in order to explicitly define the Java compiler version
used to build World Wind classes. Without these parameters, the javac task would use the most recent compiler
available on the current machine, and the Java compiler version used to build WorldWind classes would be
unpredictable. The Java compiler version used by the javac task is defined by the build parameter
'worldwind.jdk.version'. By default, this parameter is defined in the file 'build/build.properties'. See the

The compiler argument '-Xlint:unchecked' is specified in order to give more detail for unchecked conversion
warnings. This argument is specified in the World Wind Java IntelliJ IDEA project. Its use here keeps the ANT
build output in sync with the IntelliJ IDEA project output.
The compiler argument '-Xlint:-options' suppresses warnings about the compiling for Java 1.6 on a Java 1.7
platform without specifying the bootstrap class path. See the following link for more detail:
