The data-mining project contains Peregrine and several supporting modules, e.g. for ontologies and datasets. Peregrine is an indexing engine or tagger: a piece of software that can be used to recognize concepts in human readable text, based on a database (thesaurus) of known terms. Multi-word terms are correctly recognized. If terms can represent multiple concepts, Peregrine will attempt to disambiguate them.

This project is a resource for the JCoRe Linnaeus Annotator. The dictionaries contained herein are used for the recognition of concrete species names in text, e.g. "human", "mouse", "n. furzeri", "c. elegans" etc as well as species hints, i.e. indirect clues to a species like the word "patient" which most likely refers to a human. Additionally to such rather clear proxies, this project also includes a small dictionary containing maximum-frequency-proxies for genus expressions like "Drosophila" which will be mapped to "D. melanogaster". For the task of only finding concrete species names in text, there is the project jcore-linnaeus-species-ae-species-dict.

Rule Learner is an open source Java library for learning business rules from historical data. It supports supervised Machine Learning by incorporating well-known algorithms such as RIPPER and C4.5 provided by open source tools such as Weka. Rule Learner is implemented as a Machine Learning component of OpenRules Decision Manager. It allows business analysts to place their historical data in simple Excel tables and to automatically discover business rules that find certain pattern in this data. The generated rules are human readable and presented in Excel format executable by OpenRules Decision Manager.

The Liberty Audit feature is used to report and track auditable events to ensure the integrity of your system. The Liberty Audit feature introduces an infrastructure which serves two purposes: - Confirming the effectiveness and integrity of the existing configuration - Identifying areas where improvement to the configuration may be needed The Liberty Audit feature has the ability to capture the following auditable events: - Basic authentication - Start and stop of the Audit service - Form login - Client certificate login - Servlet runAs delegation - Form logout - Servlet 3.0 login, logout and authenticate APIs The Liberty Audit feature supports the Cloud Auditing Data Federation (CADF) event model. The CADF model describes a data model and associated schema definitions for an audit event. The feature provides a default implementation, the AuditFileHandler, which emits human-readable audit records to a file-based log. Each audit record is emitted in JSON format.
