sshapi-ganymed from group com.sshtools (version 1.1.2)

Ganymed SSH-2 for Java is a library which implements the SSH-2 protocol in pure Java (tested on J2SE 1.4.2 and 5.0). It allows one to connect to SSH servers from within Java programs. It supports SSH sessions (remote command execution and shell access), local and remote port forwarding, local stream forwarding, X11 forwarding, SCP and SFTP. There are no dependencies on any JCE provider, as all crypto functionality is included. Originally, Ganymed SSH-2 for Java was developed for the Ganymed replication project at ETH Zurich (Switzerland). Downloads and more information about JSch may be found at http://www.cleondris.ch/opensource/ssh2/. This library is the provider bridge for SSHAPI.

jxse-shell from group net.jxta (version 2.5)

The JXTA Shell is a sample application that demonstrates key concepts of JXTA JXSE. The JXTA Shell enables users to interact with the JXTA platform through a command-line interpreter. Much like the UNIX® shell, the JXTA Shell is useful for accessing and managing core platform objects (peers, groups, pipes), debugging communications problems, checking the status of peers and/or peer groups, and communicating with other JXTA services and applications. As in UNIX®, the JXTA shell allows users to "pipe" shell commands together connecting commands "on-the-fly." Pipes in Project JXTA are useful for collecting information at one peer and perhaps processing the command at another.

jardiff from group jardiff (version 0.2)

A tool to help visualise API differences between two different versions of a project. Jardiff takes two jar files and outputs all the public API changes as xml, html or plain text. Currently this is command line driven, though we are working on an ant plugin. It requires java 1.4 to run. <h2>Background</h2> At OSjava, we were using a shell script to work out API differences between our release versions. This unfortunately doesn't scale very well to larger projects, the main reason for jardiff was to do the same in a much shorter time (From memory it was taking minutes to get the API diff from two fairly small jars). In it's current state, jardiff can generate the api differences between rt.jar for java 1.4 and java 1.5 in under 20 seconds, so it should scale to even the largest of projects.
