Sanity4J was created to simplify running multiple static code
analysis tools on the Java projects. It provides a single entry
point to run all the selected tools and produce a consolidated
report, which presents all findings in an easily accessible
manner.
AvoidBranchingStatementAsLastInLoop
AvoidBranchingStatementAsLastInLoop
Using a branching statement as the last part of a loop may be a bug, and/or is confusing. Ensure that the usage is not a bug, or consider using another approach.
This rule is defined by the following Java class: net.sourceforge.pmd.lang.java.rule.basic.AvoidBranchingStatementAsLastInLoopRule
Example(s):
// unusual use of branching statement in a loop
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
if (i*i <= 25) {
continue;
}
break;
}
// this makes more sense...
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
if (i*i > 25) {
break;
}
}
