The UnboundID LDAP SDK for Java is a fast, comprehensive, and easy-to-use Java API for communicating with LDAP directory servers and performing related tasks like reading and writing LDIF, encoding and decoding data using base64 and ASN.1 BER, and performing secure communication. This package contains the Commercial Edition of the LDAP SDK, which includes all of the general-purpose functionality contained in the Standard Edition, plus additional functionality specific to UnboundID server products.

/**
 *
* NOTE: This class is part of the Commercial Edition of the UnboundID * LDAP SDK for Java. It is not available for use in applications that * include only the Standard Edition of the LDAP SDK, and is not supported for * use in conjunction with non-UnboundID products. *
* This class provides an implementation of the get connection ID extended * operation as used in the UnboundID Directory Server. It may be used to * obtain the connection ID associated with the current connection. This is * primarily useful for debugging purposes, and the * {@link IntermediateClientRequestControl} may also be used to obtain this * (along with other information). *

*

Example

* The following example demonstrates the process for using the get connection * ID extended operation: *
 * GetConnectionIDExtendedResult result =
 *      (GetConnectionIDExtendedResult) connection.processExtendedOperation(
 *           new GetConnectionIDExtendedRequest());
 *
 * // NOTE: The processExtendedOperation method will generally only throw an
 * // exception if a problem occurs while trying to send the request or read
 * // the response. It will not throw an exception because of a non-success
 * // response.
 *
 * if (result.getResultCode() == ResultCode.SUCCESS)
 * {
 *   long connectionID = result.getConnectionID();
 * }
