                The d element represents an instance of dialogue in a book, play, article or other document. Quotation marks should be included within the element if they must be retained in the file. The use of CSS for appending these characters is recommended, however, for the flexibility it allows to change the characters depending on the desired output. The ref attribute can optionally be used to link an instance of dialogue to a character listed in a dramatis personae. 
                
                
                
                    The d element must not contain descendant d elements.
