Jlot currently only works with Maven, but is not fixed to it in the future.

The translation can eventually be started on Jlot. Just log into the Jlot Server and invite translators for this project.

We start with Jlot by adding the plugin to the pom.xml file\:
developer.info.internationalization.problem=What is the problem?
The problem is that all language files are stored in the developer''s computer. If these texts should be translated, there are two possibilities\:
- Sending the files per mail, each time new sources are added.
- Granting access to the version management to the translator so that he/she directly edits the files in the project
Both solutions are scary. Either you have to manually send mails back and forth, the translator has to know how to handle Java Properties etc. The whole process is not efficient and error-prone. One just has to think about encoding, escape sequences or MessageFormat. Then one realizes that both ways are not useful.
Jlot was developed to simplify this process and has two main goals\:
- The Java developer shall not worry about the translation. He shall concentrate on the Java development and only handle the language files in the default language.
- The translator should automatically see all new texts that need to be translated in a simple program.

We can now get started and add the project to the Jlot Server\:

Language files change of course with every project iteration and new translations must be integrated in the project. Nothing is more simpler than with jlot\:sync

There we go\! All changes are synced between the project and the Jlot Server. If you want, you can build the Sync Project into your version management systems a git hook.
