/**
 * Defines the access request passed to an {@link AccessManager}. The request
 * contains rights to which only read access is required and rights
 * which require exclusive access.
 *

* Every request also contains a {@link #getRequestID() request id} which is * intended to be used to identify the reason the right was requested. The ID is * not required to be unique amongst requests. *

* To create right request with only a single read or write access request you * can use to following convenience factory methods: *

    *
  • {@link #getReadRequest(Object, Object) getReadRequest(IDType, RightType)}
  • *
  • {@link #getWriteRequest(Object, Object) getWriteRequest(IDType, RightType)}
  • *
*

* Conflicting rights are allowed in a single right request. * *

    *
  1. Two rights are said to be conflicting if their domains intersect and * at least one of them is a write request. * rights.
  2. * *
  3. If the domain of rights intersect or not is defined by the * implementation of the {@code AccessManager}.
  4. *
* *

Thread safety

* Instances of this class are immutable and as such are thread-safe even in * the face of unsynchronized concurrent access. Note that although instances * are immutable, the rights ({@link #getReadRights() getReadRights()}, * {@link #getWriteRights() () getWriteRights()}) and the * {@link #getRequestID() request id} are not necessarily immutable. Note * however that it is strongly recommended to use immutable types for rights * and the request id. *

Synchronization transparency

* Methods of this class are synchronization transparent. * * @param the type of the {@link #getRequestID() request id}.
