Jython is an implementation of the high-level, dynamic, object-oriented language Python written in 100% Pure Java, and seamlessly integrated with the Java platform. It thus allows you to run Python on any Java platform.

Applets do not work with the Jython 2.5.x branch due to the removal of the jythonc compiler.  Please visit the Jython book for the most up-to-date documentation on creating applets in Jython.
