SciJava Common is a shared library for SciJava software. It provides a plugin framework, with an extensible mechanism for service discovery, backed by its own annotation processor, so that plugins can be loaded dynamically. It is used by downstream projects in the SciJava ecosystem, such as ImageJ and SCIFIO.

* Developer's note: This constructor's argument is raw (i.e.,
* {@code Class...} instead of {@code Class extends Service>...}) because
* otherwise, downstream invocations (e.g.,
* {@code new SciJava(LogService.class)}) yield the potentially confusing

*
* Type safety: A generic array of Class extends Service> is
* created for a varargs parameter
*
* To avoid this, we have opted to use raw types and suppress the relevant
* warning here instead.
