SciJava Common is a shared library for SciJava software. It provides a plugin framework, with an extensible mechanism for service discovery, backed by its own annotation processor, so that plugins can be loaded dynamically. It is used by both ImageJ and SCIFIO.

* Assigns the active {@link Display} when there is one single unresolved
* {@link Display} parameter. Hence, rather than a dialog prompting the user to
* choose a {@link Display}, the active {@link Display} is used automatically.
*
* In the case of more than one {@link Display} parameter, the active
* {@link Display} is not used and instead the user must select. This behavior
* is consistent with ImageJ v1.x.
