ZooKeeper is a centralized service for maintaining configuration information, naming, providing distributed synchronization, and providing group services. All of these kinds of services are used in some form or another by distributed applications. Each time they are implemented there is a lot of work that goes into fixing the bugs and race conditions that are inevitable. Because of the difficulty of implementing these kinds of services, applications initially usually skimp on them ,which make them brittle in the presence of change and difficult to manage. Even when done correctly, different implementations of these services lead to management complexity when the applications are deployed.

Lilith is a logging and access event viewer for the Logback logging framework. It has features comparable to Chainsaw, a logging event viewer for log4j. This means that it can receive logging events from remote applications using Logback as their logging backend. It uses files to buffer the received events locally, so it is possible to keep vast amounts of logging events at your fingertip while still being able to check only the ones you are really interested in by using filtering conditions.

With distributed systems being developed as a part of the cloud age. With focus on performance associated with an application dependent on one DB instance, there is a need to bring down the dependency to a database to generate unique numbers for creating a private key when lots of data needs to be stored in the database tables. This library is intended to provide a way of generating unique numbers on the fly in a JAVA based distributed system. This is not a new concept but this library helps in keeping you focused on the business logic that you need to develop for your applications rather than spending time on how this is done. Typically applications powered by RDBMS can leverage the benefit as instant scalability might not be available for these setups when the load to the system spikes.

This is client side library for forker, and the one you most likely want to use in your own applications. It provides the ProcessBuilder replacement, ForkerBuilder, as well the helpers in OSCommand. ForkerBuilder is capable of launching processes using non-blocking I/O or attached to a PTY. It has many additional features not available in the standard process builder including permission elevation, daemonize, processor affinity and more. The main module contains the GeoTools public interfaces that are used by other GeoTools modules (and GeoTools applications). This project contains a JNA (Java Native Access) implementation built on top of the native Hnswlib (Hierarchical Navigable Small World Graph) which offers a fast approximate nearest neighbor search. It includes some modifications and simplifications in order to provide Hnswlib features with native like performance to applications written in Java. Differently from the original Python implementation, the multi-thread support is not included in the bindings itself but it can be easily implemented on the Java side.
