PatternTesting Check.CT (patterntesting-check-ct) is a quality framework that allows to automatically verify that Architecture/Design recommendations are implemented correctly in the code. It provides different checks of known anti patterns (like using System.out for logging) but provides also a test framework for better testing. The checks are done during compile time (this is the "CT" in Check.CT").

The Spring Dynamic Modules project makes it easy to build Spring applications that run in an OSGi framework. A Spring application written in this way provides better separation of modules, the ability to dynamically add, remove, and update modules in a running system, the ability to deploy multiple versions of a module simultaneously (and have clients automatically bind to the appropriate one), and a dynamic service model.

Evita is a specialized database with easy-to-use API for e-commerce systems. Purpose of this research is creating fast and scalable engine that handles all complex tasks that e-commerce systems has to deal with on daily basis. Evita should operate as a fast secondary lookup / search index used by application frontends. We aim for order of magnitude better latency (10x faster or better) for common e-commerce tasks than other solutions based on SQL or NoSQL databases on the same hardware specification. Evita should not be used for storing and handling primary data, and we don't aim for ACID properties nor data corruption guarantees. Evita "index" must be treated as something that could be dropped any time and built up from scratch easily again.

Red Hat Global Social Innovation Program is partnering with Boston University and Smarta Byar in order to collaborate on creating a global and open research platform allowing researchers to study what social sustainability means by using a digital twin of Veberöd, Sweden as the test village, supported by Smarta Byar. The goal of this collaboration is to build the open source technological infrastructure so that researchers can collaborate on this platform effectively to study mobility, public health, sustainability among other study areas to ultimately help define better the link between well being and eco-smart cities.
