The Config project is home to Sakai configuration and localization files. Config includes several versions of sakai.properties, a text file containing a series of key/value pairs that provide a convenient mechanism for defining a variety of configuration options for Sakai tools, services, supporting database and UI-related text such as copyright statement, institutional name, server name, etc. Settings in sakai.properties are read on startup; thus changes to sakai.properties only take effect after you restart Sakai's servlet container (typically Apache Tomcat).

The Apache Java Enterprise Mail Server (a.k.a. Apache James) is a 100% pure Java SMTP, IMAP, JMAP and POP3 Mail server. We have designed James to be a complete and portable enterprise mail engine solution based on currently available open protocols. James is also a mail application platform. We have developed a Java API to let you write Java code to process emails that we call the mailet API. A mailet can generate an automatic reply, update a database, prevent spam, build a message archive, or whatever you can imagine. A matcher determines whether your mailet should process an email in the server. The James project hosts the Mailet API, and James provides an implementation of this mail application platform API.

Provides non-free data, including the EPSG geodetic dataset, in a single read-only JAR file. This 'sis-embedded-data' module contains a copy of EPSG geodetic dataset in an embedded Apache Derby database. Having this module on the classpath avoid the need to set the 'SIS_DATA' environment variable for using the Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS) and Coordinate Operations defined by EPSG. SODA for Java is a library for writing Java apps that work with JSON (and not only JSON!) in the Oracle Database. SODA allows your Java app to use the Oracle Database as a NoSQL document store. You can use SODA to perform create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) operations on JSON documents, as well as arbitrary binary documents (images, PDFs, mp3s, etc). For all types of documents, CRUD operations are driven by keys (each document in SODA has a unique key). For JSON documents, in addition to keys, operations can be driven by easy to use pattern-like queries knowns as QBEs (queries-by-example).
