utc-dates from group com.cemerick (version 0.0.2)

A simple date formatting/parsing library that (by default) normalizes all formatted dates to UTC, and assumes all date strings are indicated in UTC. Its intended use is to offer a simple API useful for representing/consuming dates within lexicographically-sensitive database systems (e.g. couchdb, AWS SimpleDB, etc).

stanford-corenlp from group edu.stanford.nlp (version 4.5.7)

Stanford CoreNLP provides a set of natural language analysis tools which can take raw English language text input and give the base forms of words, their parts of speech, whether they are names of companies, people, etc., normalize dates, times, and numeric quantities, mark up the structure of sentences in terms of phrases and word dependencies, and indicate which noun phrases refer to the same entities. It provides the foundational building blocks for higher level text understanding applications.

pojava from group edu.utah.bmi.pojava (version 3.0.9)

POJava DateTime is a simple, light-weight Java-based API for parsing and manipulating dates. It parses dates from most languages and formats out of the box without having to specify which format is expected. Defaults such as time zones, and whether to interpret an internationally ambiguous date like "03/06/2014" as DMY order or MDY order are inferred by system time zone and locale and stored in a default config object that can be replaced or overridden. Multiple languages for month names are supported without any additional configuration needed. This is a forked version edited by Jianlin

javautil from group org.eurekaclinical (version 4.5)

JavaUtil is a utility library to speed the development of Java software. We developed it over multiple years during our internal development efforts, and it has reached a point of stability where we have decided to make it available to the outside world. The JavaUtil package aims to fill in the gaps of the Apache Commons and similar utility libraries out there. Features include convenience classes for string, collections, arrays, dates, iterators, colors, logging, unit testing, a little bit of basic statistics, database queries, caching and more.

patrius from group fr.cnes.sirius.patrius (version 4.8.1)

PATRIUS is a core space dynamics Java library that enables to quickly develop high level algorithms such as orbit extrapolator. PATRIUS contains several sub-libraries that work together and cover low level classes (i.e.: such as matrix, vectors, orbits parameters) as well as high level classes and interfaces (i.e.: numerical propagators, attitude laws, manoeuvers sequences). All the main domains of space dynamics are available: Analysis, algebra and geometry core library (quaternions, derivable functions, integrators …) Core objects for space dynamics (dates, orbits, frames...) Orbit propagation: analytical, semi-analytical and numerical propagators, a full set of force models Maneuvers: impulsive or continuous thrust, sequences Attitude: extensible set of attitude laws, sequences and guidance framework Events: event detection (orbital, sensor events, etc.) and post-processing (chronograms) Spacecraft: characteristics of mass, geometry (drag force), sensors field of view, etc.

The net effect the default parser for a server in Paris would have a different automatic configuration from a server in New York. Throw a random local date at either, and it'll parse it as expected. If your server supports customers from multiple locales and time zones, then each can be specified when parsing a date/time to resolve any ambiguities.
