This is the primary module external users should depend on. It completes the uk.org.retep.xmpp.message package with the various classes that depend on the JAXB objects, primarily the primary XMPP protocols: streams, stanzaerror, streamerror, jabber-client, jabber-server, component-accept and component-connect. The JAXB handling is also defined in this module.

A very common problem is resolving a source, which means finding a source using a URI. The source resolver of Avalon Excalibur is a component helping you in this task. It resolves sources from a given URI. The URI can use all available protocols of the JRE. In addition own protocols can be plugged-in. So using the standard protocols like HTTP, FTP or file can be handled in the same way, like dealing with custom, self-build protocols such as myxmldatabase://root/documents/test.xml.

The Apache Java Enterprise Mail Server (a.k.a. Apache James) is a 100% pure Java SMTP, IMAP, JMAP and POP3 Mail server. We have designed James to be a complete and portable enterprise mail engine solution based on currently available open protocols. James is also a mail application platform. We have developed a Java API to let you write Java code to process emails that we call the mailet API. A mailet can generate an automatic reply, update a database, prevent spam, build a message archive, or whatever you can imagine. A matcher determines whether your mailet should process an email in the server. The James project hosts the Mailet API, and James provides an implementation of this mail application platform API.

SmartCredentials is a programmer’s library, presenting a unified interface for various solutions and protocols used to authenticate, authorize and conduct any kind of transactions between a user or a user-facing app and services. It uses the abstraction of a credential, which can handily be made available to the user for choosing the right identity/ entitlement and authenticating themselves for appropriate security. On the ‘other end’ actual technological functions are structured in modules that can be ‘plugged’ in to the SmartCredentials core to extend and alter its behavior behind the unifying credentialing APIs.
