DynamicJasper (DJ) is an API that hides the complexity of Jasper Reports, it helps developers to save time when designing simple/medium complexity reports generating the layout of the report elements automatically. It creates reports dynamically, defining at runtime the columns, column width (auto width), groups, variables, fonts, charts, crosstabs, sub reports (that can also be dynamic), page size and everything else that you can define at design time. DJ keeps full compatibility with Jasper Reports since it's a tool that helps create reports programmatically in a easy way (it only interferes with the creation of the report design doing the layout of the elements). This module groups all different output writers. Different output writers have different dependencies. To ensure that those dependencies do not leak to other output writer, or that we can limit to number of dependencies at runtime, output writers are split into separate modules based on the dependencies they use. For example, the CloudWatch output writers depends on the AWS SDK, which is quite large and not used by any other output writer. If you only want to send metrics to Graphite, there should be no need to have the AWS SDK in your classpath at runtime. Some dependencies are also problematic. They can introduce incompatibilities. For example, a few writers are based directly on log4j or logback. This direct dependence breaks the use of SLF4J. By isolating those output writers to a specific module, we can ensure this has minimal impact.

In order to get around the JBI Lifecycle Classpath limitation in the application server, a new JBI jar file is being created called esb_jbi_framework.jar. This jar file will contain a MANIFEST.MF file that contains Class-Path: entries that point towards the jbi_rt.jar (JBI Runtime) and jbi_tests.jar (Scaffolding Registry et al) . This way we dont have to combine the throwaway jbi_tests.jar with the main jbi_rt.jar later. We would simply have to dereference it from jbi_framework.jar. Likewise adding a new JAR to the same classpath would simply mean adding a new entry to the ClassPath: header field.
