The app library component of SDL is meant to run on the end user’s smart-device from within SDL enabled apps, as an embedded app, or connected to the cloud. App libraries allow the apps to connect to SDL enabled head-units and hardware through bluetooth, USB, and TCP for Android, and cloud and embedded apps can connect through web sockets, Java Beans, and other custom transports. Once the library establishes a connection between the smart device and head-unit through the preferred method of transport, the two components are able to communicate using the SDL defined protocol. The app integrating this library project is then able to expose its functionality to the head-unit through text, media, and other interactive elements.

Provides non-free data, including the EPSG geodetic dataset, in a single read-only JAR file. This 'sis-embedded-data' module contains a copy of EPSG geodetic dataset in an embedded Apache Derby database. Having this module on the classpath avoid the need to set the 'SIS_DATA' environment variable for using the Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS) and Coordinate Operations defined by EPSG. The UnboundID LDAP SDK for Java is a fast, comprehensive, and easy-to-use Java API for communicating with LDAP directory servers and performing related tasks like reading and writing LDIF, encoding and decoding data using base64 and ASN.1 BER, and performing secure communication. This package contains the Minimal Edition of the LDAP SDK, which is a stripped-down version of the Standard Edition that includes full support for the LDAP protocol and LDIF parsing, but omits a number of optional elements, like many of the controls and extended operations, the LDAP persistence framework, and LDAP listener framework. The Minimal Edition is primarily intended for use in space-constrained and/or memory-constrained environments, like in Android apps or embedded systems.

The HTTP server module (ks-server-http) implements the Web API of the KnowledgeStore, which includes the two CRUD and SPARQL endpoints. The CRUD Endpoint supports the retrieval and manipulation of semi-structured data about resource, mention, entity and axiom records (encoded in RDF, possibly using JSONLD), and the upload / download of resource representation. The SPARQL Endpoint supports SPARQL SELECT, CONSTRUCT, DESCRIBE and ASK queries according to the W3C SPARQL protocol. The two endpoints are implemented on top of a component implementing the KnowledgeStore Java API (the Store interface), which can be either the the KnowledgeStore frontend (ks-frontend) or the Java Client. The implementation of the module is based on the Jetty Web sever (run in embedded mode) and the Jersey JAX-RS implementation. Reference documentation of the Web API is automatically generated using the Enunciate tool.

This package supports the parsing of AIS messages in Java. AIS, the Automatic Identification System, is a system aiming at improving maritime safety by exchanging messages between ships, other vehicles in particular aircraft involved in search-and-rescue (SAR), and (fixed) base stations. To be precise, this package support the ITU-R M.1371-4 AIS standard. See our extensive javadoc and in particular the class AISParser for more information on how to use this package. The parser was used in the Poseidon project, and is improved in the Metis project to better handle uncertain information. Both projects were led by the Embedded Systems Institute. In both projects Thales Nederlands was the carrying industrial partner, and multiple Dutch universities participated.

This module was created to fix issue DIRSHARED-91 where the embedded Felix instance inside the default LdapCodecService implementation was making it very problematic to deploy the ldap-codec inside an RCP (OSGi) environment and hence Apache Directory Studio could not use it. This module is most likely temporary and will disappear once we are fully OSGi enabled. This module is a plain old jar, not a bundle to avoid accidental reuse as an OSGi module because it contains the version of the LdapCodecService that embeds Felix to make controls and extended ops pluggable in the codec.
