All Roads Lead to ROME. ROME is a set of Atom/RSS Java utilities that make it easy to work in Java with most syndication formats. Today it accepts all flavors of RSS (0.90, 0.91, 0.92, 0.93, 0.94, 1.0 and 2.0), Atom 0.3 and Atom 1.0 feeds. Rome includes a set of parsers and generators for the various flavors of feeds, as well as converters to convert from one format to another. The parsers can give you back Java objects that are either specific for the format you want to work with, or a generic normalized SyndFeed object that lets you work on with the data without bothering about the underlying format.

This project has a lot of business classes to work with genes and related named entities. Genes are part of a GeneDocument and may have gold IDs as well as mapped/predicted IDs. Another large part are species because most (all?) gene ID databases are species specific. So there are also classes or members to represent species mentions and the assignment of species IDs (taxonomy IDs) to genes. There is little to no business logic herein. This project is only useful as building block in other projects dealing with species assignment, gene ID mapping or similar efforts.

ZooKeeper is a centralized service for maintaining configuration information, naming, providing distributed synchronization, and providing group services. All of these kinds of services are used in some form or another by distributed applications. Each time they are implemented there is a lot of work that goes into fixing the bugs and race conditions that are inevitable. Because of the difficulty of implementing these kinds of services, applications initially usually skimp on them ,which make them brittle in the presence of change and difficult to manage. Even when done correctly, different implementations of these services lead to management complexity when the applications are deployed.

This project provides the best of maven easily consumable a maven parent project, called MavenParent. With this project you get: Checkstyle and PMD checks that will work by default in eclipse with m2e-code-quality. OWASP vulnerability checks of your dependencies. Easy application of BSD-3 clause license to all your code with mycila-license plugin. The ability to easily enforce semantic version on a jar project with japicmp. Prevent duplicates on your classpath with basepom's duplicate-finder. All of the above can be configured or disabled easily with properties, just check their docs, except takari. A whole slew of pretty maven reports including the above are generated in the maven site. The ability to easily deploy to oss nexus, and publish maven generated sites back to github's sites pages.

JARTs are Java-based Asynchronous Real Time sockets. JART uses JNA to build a pure Java TCP/IP stack upon Netmap. It is implemented in imperative style (no TCP state machine) using asynchronous programming with the help of ea-async. JART runs on both Linux (with the proper Netmap kernel module) and FreeBSD with Netmap enabled. FreeBSD 12.1+ has Netmap in the kernel by default so it works "out of the box". While JART has proven fairly robust in limited testing, it is still a work-in-progress and may not be suitable for production use. Pull requests welcome!

This bundle wraps Pi4j (http://pi4j.com) that wraps the native code Wiring Pi (http://wiringpi.com). It wraps these libraries to make them OSGi friendly and allow them to work together with the OSGi enRoute IoT circuit library (osgi.enroute.iot.circuit). The bundle will first use Pi4J to detect on what hardware it runs. If it runs on an appropriate type, it will register a component that can be configured with Metatype. The Metatype defines a full blown configuration template for all the Pi's functions. The GPIO's are registered as components for the circuit. Regardless of the success of the configuration, this bundle will also register a GpioController service, which is the main Pi4J class.
