Nuun Kernel is a software kernel for framework creation. It brings a powerful plugin design plus a JSR 330 compliant injection mechanism backed by Guice. Plugin benefits from kernel capabilities by sendings request to it : - kernel params request : - Classpath scans request :on class by name, annotation, meta annotation or more generally Predicate - Binding Request : Nuun Kernel provides an SPI in order to bring IOC from other vendors. Provides basic support of servlet filter. Boilerplate code etc. It provides a boilerplate implementation of the Filter interface. The GenericFilter provides a getter and setter for the FilterConfig object and ensures that this is set when init is called. The init method also calls the configureFilter method after the FilterConfig object is set and can be used by subclasses to process the filter config during initiation. It also provides an empty implementation of the destory method. The only method that requires implementation is the doFilter method. The GenericHTTPFilter extends the GenericFilter class, it provides a doFilter method that attempts to cast the ServletRequest and ServletResponse objects to HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse objects. If these objects can be cast successfuly then it calls the doHTTPFilter method and passes the cast objects references. If the objects cannot be cast a ServletException is thrown. The doHTTPFilter method is abstract and must be implemented by subclasses.

JSON is a light-weight, language independent, data interchange format. See http://www.JSON.org/ The files in this package implement JSON encoders/decoders in Java. It also includes the capability to convert between JSON and XML, HTTP headers, Cookies, and CDL. This is a reference implementation. There is a large number of JSON packages in Java. Perhaps someday the Java community will standardize on one. Until then, choose carefully. The license includes this restriction: "The software shall be used for good, not evil." If your conscience cannot live with that, then choose a different package. The package compiles on Java 1.2 thru Java 1.4.

Reco4j is an open source project aims at developing a recommendation framework based on graph data sources. We choose graph databases for several reasons. They are NoSQL databases, so "schemaless". This means that it is possible to extend the basic data structure with intermediate information, i.e. similarity value between item and so on. Moreover, since every information is expressed with properties, nodes and relations, the recommendation process can be customized to work on every graph. Reco4j can be used on every graph where "user" and "item" is represented by node and the preferences are modelled as relationship between them. Current implementation leverage on Neo4j as first graph database integrated in our framework.

The JSP TLD Maven Plugin is used to automate the management of JSP Tag Library Descriptors as part of a Maven build. It is intended to decrease the burden on JSP developers associated with writing custom JSP Tag Libraries. The goal is to encourage JSP developers to write better JSP files by using custom JSP Tag Libraries more extensively. The Plugin can process Java annotations on Tag implementation classes and also discover Tag Files (.tag and .tagx files). The Java 5 Annotations recognized by this Plugin are all part of the <a href="../squeakysand-jsp/apidocs/com/squeakysand/jsp/tagext/annotations/package-summary.html">com.squeakysand.jsp.tagext.annotations</a> package.

MOCCA is the Message-Oriented Command and Context Architecture, providing a GLUE middle-ware that allows sending commands to a peer which are executed by state-less handlers in a specific context. In contrast to the Request-Response scheme the message flow is not fixed by the framework. This allows to implement different communication paradigms (including Request-Response). The whole system can be seen as an automaton with Messages that trigger state transitions in the local Contexts. This library contains the core components, including the GLUE-based implementation.

JmDNS is a Java implementation of multi-cast DNS and can be used for service registration and discovery in local area networks. JmDNS is fully compatible with Apple's Bonjour. The project was originally started in December 2002 by Arthur van Hoff at Strangeberry. In November 2003 the project was moved to SourceForge, and the name was changed from JRendezvous to JmDNS for legal reasons. Many thanks to Stuart Cheshire for help and moral support.

This metaclassifier makes its base classifier cost-sensitive using the method specified in Pedro Domingos: MetaCost: A general method for making classifiers cost-sensitive. In: Fifth International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, 155-164, 1999. This classifier should produce similar results to one created by passing the base learner to Bagging, which is in turn passed to a CostSensitiveClassifier operating on minimum expected cost. The difference is that MetaCost produces a single cost-sensitive classifier of the base learner, giving the benefits of fast classification and interpretable output (if the base learner itself is interpretable). This implementation uses all bagging iterations when reclassifying training data (the MetaCost paper reports a marginal improvement when only those iterations containing each training instance are used in reclassifying that instance).
